So. Much. Rain. That has been my basic idea of the last few days. Seattle was fun and I got to catch up with an old friend from college. I also got winter tires while I was there, Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s,(actual name) which I had never heard of before seeing them on the Discount Tire website. They seem to be pretty awesome, any company that only makes snow tires is sorta cool. I mean just look at this video!

Those crazy Finns!

I left Seattle earlyish Friday morning trying to get as close to Glacier National Park as I could. Leaving Seattle the Mountains were initially cool but then Western Washington was sorta dull. I did see what looked to be some random military cargo planes flying above me though, a couple Hercules or Galaxies or something. The mountain passes through Idaho were pretty, and luckily it was still above freezing and not snowing because I forgot to buy tire chains. Montana, especially after I got off I-90 was a real treat. Absolutely gorgeous. Throughout this trip I just continue to be amazed at the pure natural beauty of the Western United States. Glacier National Park tomorrow, unfortunately most of Going to the Sun Road is closed and annoyingly National Parks don't allow dogs on hiking trails so I'm going to try to find a kennel in Whitefish to watch Scout for the day. If I can't then I'll probably just drive around on Highway 2.

Glacier is an amazing park. Astonishingly beautiful. Especially in August the Going to the Sun is open.

I guess you were trying to say Eastern Washington was dull. Would'a buy you a coffee (or energy drink if you prefer that) had I not been buried at work last whole week!
